Kilmarlic Golf Club was selected to host the 2004 North Carolina Open which was held in June, 2004. This honor is a true testament to the quality we are pleased to offer our Members and Guests at Kilmarlic.
The best players from North and South Carolina, both professional and amateur traveled to the Outer Banks to compete for one of the largest purses in State Open history. Bob Boyd (Wilmington, NC) emerged the tournament champion with a 36 hole 133, 11 under par performance, after the final round was cancelled due to inclement weather. Finishing in a tie for second place was Billy Anderson (Wilmington, NC) and Gus Ullrich (Pinehurst, NC) at 137, 7-under par.
