Weddings at Kilmarlic
Frequently Asked Questions about Wedding Receptions
How many people can the Kilmarlic Clubhouse accommodate for wedding receptions?
Our new Clubhouse can accommodate up to 100 people for a seated dinner and as many as 350 for buffet service by utilizing our covered decks and patios.
Will there be an on-site coordinator at the event?
We provide a Special Events Coordinator to guide and assist you during the planning of your special day. If you have any questions about décor, menu, beverages or budget, our coordinator will be there to help either by e-mail, phone or in person. At 5 or 6 weeks prior to your special day, a preliminary appointment will be scheduled with our coordinator to help you develop a foundation for your event. One to two months prior to your event, you will meet with the coordinator to discuss final details. We will also work closely with any off-site coordinator that you may employ for the actual ceremony, etc. We are committed to working with you in any capacity to make your special day a success.
What are we responsible for arranging?
You are in charge of arranging all aspects of your ceremony, plus any outside vendors that you may need at your reception. These might include the photographer, florist, music, wedding cake, etc. We have a list of vendors that we are familiar with that we would be happy to provide you, but you are welcome to use your own vendors as well.
Can I bring in special décor to be used during my event?
We will be happy to assist you with any off-site rentals necessary for your event. All costs for such rentals will be passed along to you. You may provide floral arrangements, votives, décorations, etc. Please remember that all flames must be covered (in accordance with fire laws in a public facility). All décor brought in for your event must be taken out at the end of the event unless special arrangements are made in advance.
How long do I have use of the facility?
The basic facility fee includes four hours of facility use. In addition, you may access the facility up to 90 minutes prior to your event to accommodate deliveries and set-up. If you need additional time this can be discussed with our special events coordinator.
Can I have plated meals instead of a buffet?
Plated meals can be provided for up to 100 guests. Events with over 100 guests must have buffet service. For buffet service we offer several different set-up configurations that allow your guests access to their food in a very short time thus avoiding long lines that may take away from the enjoyment of your reception. With plated or buffet service Kilmarlic will provide the proper number of servers to attend to your guests' needs and wants.
Can we bring in caterers for food and wine?
All food and beverages must come from us. The exception is your wedding cake. Any off-site cake vendors are welcome.
What does the average wedding reception cost?
Pricing varies with many factors including food selections, number of attendees, and beverage arrangements. The date of your event can also affect the price for the facility. Please send an e-mail to wendysullivan@kilmarlic.com with the preferred date of the event, the number of guests and your estimated budget. Our special events coordinator will be happy to prepare a proposal for you.
How do I reserve a date?
Please see our wedding planner and contract for details.
Can we have the actual ceremony at Kilmarlic?
Yes! Our new Clubhouse has beautiful sweeping views of the 18th fairway lined with water and natural areas. We also have a Soundfront Park that has spectacular views over the Sound with a covered pavilion and walkway to the water. Ask our Special Events Coordinator about pricing and availability for these venues.
